This place was so busy on Sunday when we got here! They offer a diverse lunch menu with many options to choose from: wraps, burgers, pasta, fish and chips, etc. I ordered a Chicken schniztel sandwich while friends ordered pastas. The portion was very generous and the food was delicious. There wasn't anything we didn't like in each of the food we ordered.
Almost every table ordered a pasta dish, so next time I will definitely go for the pasta.
Attentive staff, nice food at a great price, family friendly, relaxed atmosphere, everything you want from your everyday local cafe. A reliable spot where anyone and everyone is welcome.
Lovely food, quick and polite service; only two minor complaints: why can't the smoked salmon be at room temperature in the Eggs Benedict...nothing worse on a winters morning with warm eggs and sauce to suddenly get a lump of ice in your mouth.
I would have tried one of the pancake offerings, but we in Australia seem to always serve pancakes and waffles as a desert. Not so; check the Pancakes on the Rocks menu, or even Crickets Cafe at cricketcafepdx_dot_com: not cream or icecream. Whipped butter, please. More inventive menus would be great too. Again, check the old Crickets Cafe as an example.
